NEWS: 09/03/2004 - Channel Sports Boats take delivery of first 2004 Salcombe Flyer 530. |
|
Channel Sports Boats take delivery of first 2004 specification Salcombe Flyer 530 from See Marine Limited. Built at the new See Marine factory near Kingsbridge, South Devon. The navy blue hulled 530 is specified with the new 90Bhp Direct Injection E-TEC outboard from Evinrude and a range of accessories selected from the extensive list of factory fitted options, mounted on a fully galvanised Bramber Rollerglide trailer. The 530 and Evinrude engine package were extensively tested throughout the day in the coastal waters at the mouth of the Dart and handled superbly in the conditions, a strong south easterly wind and a 4ft to 5ft swell. This boat is now available for demonstrations anywhere in Southern England by appointment. Click here to view our contact details. |

Channel Sports Boats present lucky winner Tom Entwistle with a TekSport Xcess 240S on behalf of TekSport and Paddles magazine. Tom won a spot the difference competition in the February issue of Paddles magazine, 'Britain's best selling canoe and kayak magazine and selected the vibrant Tequila Sunrise colour from the 'Cocktail Bar' of colours on offer from TekSport. CSB also presented Tom with a new Ainsworth K100 Alloy paddle as an additional prize. |

Channel Sports Boats ran a TekSport Demo for the Kent University Canoe Club, (KUCC), at the Kings School Recreational Centre in Canterbury, Kent. A number of TekSport Xcess kayaks where available for KUCC members to trial along with a range of Ainsworth Paddles. The full Cocktail Bar of kayak colours was also on display on the night along with paddles and accessories for members to browse and buy. Channel Sports Boats takes delivery of new Jeep Cherokees from Motorway Sports Cars. CSB chose the Jeep Cherokee 2.8L CRD Sport for it's 4X4 capabilities, power, performance and reliability. The Cherokee delivers 148 bhp @ 3800 rpm and 266 lb ft of torque @ 1800 - 2600 rpm, which will allow up to the maximum weight of 3500 kg to be towed with ease. The Cherokee's 'Full-time' Select-Trac 4-wheel drive system, with 'shift-on-the-fly' and low range, will also provided a greater level of and manoeuvrability and safety when launching / recovering from slip-ways.
